Our suggestion today is a healthy, easy, and quick homemade snack: Yogurt with fruit and nuts and cinnamon granola.
Our recipe includes oat flakes, almonds, walnuts, honey, and cinnamon. You can produce in larger quantities and pack for more than one use.
How to make the granola?
- In a container, add the oats, almond, and walnut. We suggest that you buy the broken/ rolled dried fruit or, if you prefer, buy it whole then cut it into smaller pieces.
- Add the honey and the cinnamon and mix everything. You can use your hands to make sure you mix all the ingredients well. Do not overdo the honey. It should only serve to unite the various ingredients.
- After having the various elements mixed, spread the mixture on a tray, and bake it in the oven. The time in the oven will depend on the amount you make. Leave 15min initially and then stir the granola slightly to cook evenly on both sides and leave another 10 to 15min until it becomes colored.
- When you take it out of the oven, it will still have a soft texture. Let it cool for a moment and the granola should become crunchy.
Granola (for 2 servings):
Ingredients for the granola:
- 25g Oats
- 15g Almond
- 15g Walnut
- 10g Chia Seeds
- 20g Honey (+/- 1 tablespoon)
- Cinnamon
Snack suggestion
In our suggestion today we considered the half fat yogurt from Quinta dos Açores. However, we suggest the use of the low-fat yogurt from Quinta dos Açores if you want to reduce the caloric, sugar, and fat values of the recipe.
The banana can also be replaced by another fruit with a lower caloric density such as kiwi (1/2 un), pomegranate (2 tablespoons) or seasonal fruits.
